Keke was excited when she received her admission letter in her hands.
Her dream of going to the higher institution just came true.
She stepped into the premisses of the beautiful campus with all enthusiasm and hope.
She was very swift with her registration processes.
She was to stay at Ruby hostel. The most exquisite of all the female hostels.
She was very happy because that has been her dream.
Her parents handed her box to her and drove off, after encouraging her to be a good ambassador of their family.
Keke looked at her big box and other handy things she had to carry and she almost burst into tears.
How on earth would I be able to carry of these alone she wailed.
She tried to feel the weight of the box and on raising her head up she saw a young hefty handsome man standing by her.
She was startled.
The young man stretched his so soft hand to her for a handshake and said. My name is Tom.
She stammered, my name is Keke, meet to nice you, oh sorry nice to meet you.
The handsome young man volunteered to assist her with her luggage. Even though she didn't readily jump at the offer, he insisted that he will assist her at least to the gate of the hostel since he couldn't go past that.
Two weeks later, Keke and Tom started dating.
They would spend time talking about their future together, the number of children they will have , places they will go for vacation and the likes.
Did I tell you that Tom was a fresher too.
Tom was Keke 's first Love and vice versa and if you ask them what love was they will give you 1000 interpretations of love.
Keke was very beautiful and so many students admired her. Even those in higher classes.
Tom had sworn to her that He will always love her through thick and thin.
Such a promise was very happy easy to make for him as their 3 weeks relationship was fun filled.
They went to school canteen together, they went to class together, they have no cause to quarrel, they were just perfect couple by their own judgement.
Light out was by 10 pm and students were expected to be in their rooms by 9,pm
Tom walked Keke to the gate of Ruby hotel exactly 7pm, he drew her close and kissed her.
The softness of his lips on hers felt so good to Keke. And she fantasized about it all through the night.
Keke couldn't stop at just one kiss. And and during the holidays, they had the opportunity of spending two hours together alone, and then they kissed again and didn't stop until she got her hymen broken.
Two weeks later, Keke's parents threw a party for her to celebrate her 18th birthday. She was very gloomy and sad all throughout the party. Tom wouldn't pick her calls.
The more Keke's heart longed for her first love , the more her first love's heart went further from her.
It was just 3 weeks into the 6 weeks break they had in school and their strong bond was getting too weak for her comfort.
Keke decided to take him by surprise and go visit him. Tom wasn't excited to see her. He avoided eye contact with her and then Keke being a smart girl asked him a question.
Tom do you have a boyfriend ?
Tom, answered a resounding NO and the echo of the NO rang in her ears continuously.
Who am I to you ?, she asked further
You are my friend he said sharply.
At that point, Keke's eyes became red. Two hot tears dropped and she turned her back.
As she was about to open the door, Tom slipped a note into her bag and he went on his knees and asked her to please read the note with all sincerity when she gets back to her room.
10 years later.
Keke is a successful business woman, a relationship coach, a Pastor's wife and an expectant mother as she's heavily pregnant with a set of twins.
The difference between Keke then and Keke 10 years after was the content in the note.
