The mere fact that he said it is not wrong doesn't make it the right thing to do. Must read for every teenager

Conscience – a lonely path.

Trish laid on the bed and rolled over, she picked up her tablet PC that was on the bedside drawer and she logged into Facebook. The heaviness on her heart couldn’t be quantified by words, her heart was heavy.
But he told me that the regret was going to be brief she thought to herself
. Her heart raced and Facebook wasn’t helping. She logged out and went to the KJV bible app on her tab but she couldn’t comport herself to read. She cried again and sobbed. She felt like running away from all her pains and regrets but she couldn’t. She reminisced over how the week went and how she found herself in this mess.
Josh had always been like a big brother to her, he was someone she could confide in. Josh came into her life when she was most lonely and vulnerable, she had tried to find acceptance everywhere but her esteem gets trampled at every attempt. As a big boy, Josh being her friend was a plus for her, he helped her boost her self-esteem and upped her game for her. Josh would come around with gifts take her round the town, advise her, he was so much to her. She proudly introduced him as her big brother and for once she felt happy and alive as a teenager.
The whole fairy tale lasted for less than two months. It was a cozy Saturday morning and Josh came by her house with gifts as usual. But the visit ended on a painful ground for Trish because Josh got what he had always wanted from her that day, her body. Trish was destabilized because she had been keeping herself and had sworn to keep herself till her wedding night. But alas! She lost it to Josh.

Their friendship took another turn and another direction onward and she became his toy. All he if when he came around was just to defile her and gradually Trish became the shadow of herself.
She heard a knock on the door and it was Josh again. She opened the door for him and wrapped herself in her blanket. She knew what he came for again and this time around she wasn’t ready to give him. He moved nearer and tried to stroke her hair but she pushed him away and walked him out. Josh was surprised. He knew he had her at the tips of his finger but couldn’t explain what had gone over her.
After he left, Trish was relieved , her hearth leaped for joy and she was happy that she could stand up for herself this time and do the right thing,
She wrapped herself in her blanket again and she sobbed bitterly. Josh had lied to her that even if she commits fornication that the guilt will be short lived and that very soon she wouldn’t remember the guilt again. That was the lie he told her the first time, but every time she allowed him she had felt even guiltier.
And daily as she looked herself in the mirror her conscience would sneer at her, her heart was heavy and she knew that conscience is a lonely path.

A bigger part of her was happy that she was able to walk this path of conscience alone because she knew that it was God’s love that took her through that lonely path of her still having her own conscience and not sharing same with Josh because Josh never feels any remorse.
She found herself sobbing again and this time she was on her kneels praying to God to forgive her and give her a clean slate again.

Trish woke up the next morning feeling awesome and she could pick up her bible and go to church because it was a Sunday. Every one noticed the glow in her and the free spirit she demonstrated henceforth. Her self-esteem was on the positive side even without Josh because she was happy that she didn’t lose her salvation eventually.
Trish understood the extent of God’s love once again and she wasn’t ready to give that up for anything in the world.
